Michael K. Haynes, Ph.D., Advanced CISM- Dr. Haynes is an internationally known author having written several best-selling Christian books, including "The god of Rock - A Christian Perspective of Rock Music," "The Kid Killer - Teen Suicide," "The Touch of Two Kings - The True Story of Elvis Presley's Stepbrother," "Brother This Stuff Will Preach," "A Guide To Knowing God," and numerous others. Prior to entering the field of counseling, Michael was senior pastor of four SBC Churches. He traveled extensively across the United States and Canada during the 80's leading seminars in churches, civic centers, and training law enforcement concerning the hard-core problems facing the young people and families of this generation. Michael is the founder and Executive Director of The Faith Based Counselor Training Institute, Inc., and is an ICPC Certified Police Chaplain. He holds a Ph.D. in contemporary religions and counseling. Dr. Haynes is also the founder and Executive Director of Crisis Chaplaincy Care, Inc. Van N. Houser, M. Div. - Mr. Houser is the author of the very popular parent training manual, "Watch Out For The Snakes." He is the founder and past president of The American Foundation for Drug Prevention and was the lead producer of The Drug Free Family PAK, and The Drug Free Business PAK. Presently, as Ex. Director of Keys To Prevention, Van is focusing his prevention experience and expertise on addressing the critical issues confronting American business and supporting family and community prevention efforts through the workplace and the media. Van is also currently senior pastor of the fast growing North side Baptist Church of Weatherford, TX, and holds a Master of Divinity degree. (Distance Learning Insturctor) D. Ken Sharp - Ken Sharp died suddenly on April 8, 2006. His work will be remembered through FBCTI's distance learning program. He was an LPC, LMFT, CRT. Ken was a Certified Anger Management Specialist and teaches in The Faith Based Counselor Training Institute's, Conquering Anger.Com program via CD. Professor Baxter C. Coffee, M.A. - Baxter is the creator of the highly acclaimed program "I Can See Clearly Now." His program has been successfully used by Innerchange Freedom Initiative and Star of Hope Emergency Shelters in Houston. Mr. Coffee is a former tenured professor at North Texas State University and currently the Executive Director of Flash Point Ministries based in Houston, TX James Peterson, BCMLRT, CAMS, CCDC - James helped to create the model most widely used for aftercare and reentry with Prison Fellowship and InnerChange Freedom Initiative in Houston, TX. Following his 6 years on the streets with that ministry he joined the staff of FBCTI as Vice President and works out of the FBCTI administrative offices in Temple, TX. Senior Staff Michael K.
